What are the benefits of using pullet cages?

Raising chicks is also called brooding. Generally, the period from hatching to weaning (about 1 month old) is called the brooding period. The brooding period is the key period for the success or failure of raising chicks. Chick breeding quality is crucial. It directly impacts chick survival, growth, and future production. Raising healthy chicks is a meticulous and demanding task. Breeders must be highly responsible and understand chick physiology to manage themselves scientifically and achieve successful brooding results.

1. Physiological characteristics of chicks

Chickens, like all other young animals, have a poor ability to adapt to the external environment. The function of hatched chicks to regulate body temperature is weak and cannot resist cold and low temperatures. At the same time, chicks have poor resistance to diseases, so people need to take good care of them to cultivate strong chicks. It also indirectly improves the survival rate of chicks.

2. The battery cage brooding method can make full use of the house area, facilitate the management of chickens, save feed, and further improve labor productivity.

The chicken cage material is made of high-quality hot-dip galvanized steel. Strong and durable, strong load-bearing, can be used for 15-20 years.

Advantages of pullet battery cages

1. Raise more chickens, the space of the chicken cage is 379 square cm, and each set of equipment can raise 192 chicks.
2. Adjustable oval feeding hole. Feeding is convenient, and the birds will not escape or get stuck
3. Hang the feeding trough on one side of the cage and the water trough on the other side. The size of the cage door hole should be just enough for the chicken's head to stretch out to eat and drink water.
4. The insulation of the cage chicken house should be adapted to local conditions, and a heater can be used to increase the temperature in the chicken house.
5. Environmental control system. Provide oxygen required for breathing and limit the accumulation of harmful gases such as ammonia and carbon dioxide.

3. Before the chickens are introduced, the chicken house should be preheated and insulated. Three days before the chickens are introduced, the insulation equipment of the chicken house should be renovated and heated to make the house temperature reach about 25 degrees Celsius, and the temperature of the brooder should reach about 30 degrees Celsius to maintain a stable temperature.

4. According to the feeding standards of chicks, a diet with complete nutritional value should be prepared, and a feed plan should be made during the brooding period to ensure timely supply. Commonly used drugs and vaccines for chicks, such as disinfectants, anti-white diarrhea drugs, anti-coccidiosis drugs, chicken Newcastle vaccine, chicken Marek vaccine, chicken pox vaccine, etc., should be prepared in advance.

The chick cage is an indispensable tool for modern broiler farming. It has many advantages such as saving space, reducing pollution, increasing the growth rate and breeding efficiency of chicks, and reducing breeding costs.
